My 2011 was getting up there on miles and I've been slowly looking for the right deal. It came along yesterday. New 2013 Platinum 4x4 still on the lot in one of the colors I was looking for. They matched the numbers I had in my head that would make me pull the trigger, so I did. My favorite part is the running boards. It is an ecoboost and I really wanted the V8 but what the hell. And I was surprised at how few V8s were on the lot compared to the v6

Thats a nice truck, but hey-zeus those prices are insane. The last 2 vehicles I bought (my wifes acura mdx and my tahoe) didnt add up to 43, much less 55. Couldnt bring myself to stroke a check for 43k for a truck. Certainly not gonna pay a note on a depreciating purchase.
Nice truck tho bro.

How much driving do you do for a 2011 to be up there in miles?

Beautiful truck, shawn!!
How did you get an MDX for that cheap?? Used? I put out 32 for the wife's 2014 Tech RDX in December.
Am excited about pulling the trigger on a new Hyperlift today

Subtle brag thread on a 2011 being used up. I'm still sporting the '04.

Nice deal at 43k man im in the market on a new truck myself. My 2011 silverado has 80,000 on it now and i want to trade in before it hits 100k miles. I will probably end up with one of the new chevys myself, but i was looking at the ford playniums also! very nice truck my man.. when the wifes cts is paid off next month i will be upgrading myself! Love that truck though bro

Yep. New vehicles lose 20% of their value the day it is driven off the lot.... So essentially 20% is thrown away on Day 1. We always buy used.... And we put alot of miles on vehicles.
I bought a 2009 Acura MDX with 90k miles on it in 2011 for $19k for my wife (has 109k on it now) Before that, a 2007 Z71 Tahoe in 2009 for her with 51k miles for $20,500. I am driving the tahoe now, it has 206k miles on it. I put 265k on an Acura MDX, 245k on a Toyota, and 235k on an Avalon.
I do, however, understand that we are in the minority by buying used, paying cash, and getting almost all of the life out of a vehicle.

My 2011 had 75K miles. I bought it with 28K miles last January. I don't like to keep vehicles more than 80K because they lose value much quicker after that. I get paid mileage that more than pays for my fuel, note and insurance so I like to think of it as they are buying me a new truck.

i get it. i am paid mileage, too. i just prefer that $ go in my pocket and not to a car dealership. to each his own.
