I´ve loved it from the get go. However, my brother is dubative after the first episode (and he´s a big Gervais fan).
How long did it take yáll to get into it?

I meant the series in general. We were on the phone today, and I told him the second season started today on Netflix, and he said he hasn´t got past the first episode of the first season.

I don´t recall the twitter references until this season. I don´t know why. It´s hilarious.
Derek had two good ones in episode 2 of season 2.
Be nice to animals, tweet that..
the second was better, but I don´t recall it.

the whole twitter thing is sort of tongue-in-cheek for Gervais
when he's not shamelessly self-promoting himself, and doesnt have any projects he's working on, he trolls the frick out of twitter
because of him I signed up for twitter, and now follow 2 people
Ricky Gervais
Tweet of God
it's shameful

you obviously have not exposed yourself to XFM or the podcast, that's about your only "out" at this point

I guess my one beef with the show would be that there is no way they would be able to continue funding for the home, so I wish they had just skipped that plot point.
Or at minimum, they should have had Jack's grandson either offer to fund the home or say he was able to pull the strings to get the funding back.
Minor nitpick.
Gervais is good at pulling the heart strings. Tim's speech at the end of The Office Christmas special is fantastic.
So was Andy's speech at the end of extras.
Derek is full of humanity at its best.

Don´t they receive state funds? Not enough, but pull strings and manage? I don´t know, it seems like eons since I saw the first series of episodes.
