Who serves NOLA style poboys in BR? I'm talking fresh Leidenheimer bread (cut from the long loaves), quality fresh shrimp, dressed, good healthy size overstuffed poboys.

George's or Acme (obviously) are the closest thing to a N.O. po-boy I've had.

The peacemaker at the BR Acme is pretty damn good imho.

No one does leidenheimer to my knowledge, but Dempsey's is pretty legit

I don't know of places using that bread but Dempsey's, chimes, and Sammy's all have good poboys.
Mathernes carries that type of bread if you want it

Galatoires & Le Creole.
George's used to use Leidenheimer, but I haven't eaten there in so long I don't know if they still do.

I might have caught George's on O'neal Rd on an off day but the shrimp po-boy was far from New Orleans style over stuffed. The sandwich was so not over stuffed that there was a good inch on each end of the po-boy that had no shrimp. And no shrimp fell off when I unwrapped it.
Wish I could find a better shrimp po-boy in Baton Rouge that what I had from George's.

No such thing in BR, and if there was such a thing, it would cost at least 1 1/2 to twice as much.

I used to get leidenheimer bread when I was in Baton Rouge. It wasn't expensive.
Tommy's in prarieville and acme are probably the only ones doing New Orleans style poboys.

If you're looking for a decent roast beef, you won't find one in BR.

I think Chimes does a decent roast beef poor boy.
