Going to this training class tomorrow, and they require 3 mags and a mag holder. I have both, but the mag holder is set up for Glock mags, which are more fat and deep, and not PPQ mags. That causes my PPQ mags to flop around a little bit to the point where I can shake them out. We are gonna be running around and such, and I do not need them falling out.

There is about 3/8" slack from the front to the back of the mag, and about 1mm slack from side to side. When I have it loaded fully, the mags fall out.

I was unsure where I should add felt because I didn't want to knock the bullets out when I put the loaded mag in the holder, so that's why I am apprehensive about putting the felt on the front or back. I also don't know if adding it to the side would fix the problem, and if it would also mess up putting the Glock mags in there(bringing as a backup).

What would yall do?

Go buy a new one for the ppq mags.

Not that simple. PPQ stuff isn't easy to come by, and there is a 98% chance I wouldn't be able to find one

It's not like I walk around with 3 mags all day either. Nobody needs all of that

might be best to use the Glock mags until you get a holder that fits the PPQs

Take the mag to the store (Jim's, Academy, BR Police Supply, etc) and see if you can find a double that they fit in. Don't worry about what the package says it's made for. If you just need it for one day, it shouldn't matter as long as it secures the mags while moving. You don't need a triple. If they require you to have 3 mags, you should start with one in your pistol.

Are you planning on wearing pants that don't have a back pocket?

Kydex, can you just heat that up good and form it to fit your mags tighter?

a little more involved than that but essentially, yes.

you need some sort of press to mold the kydex around the mag. a lot of guys are making them with adjustable retention now too

Already have one as a backup to the PPQ. The PPQ has gone through about 1500rds without a single hiccup, but I am gonna be an hour from the house, so I am being prepared. I actually hate the Gen4 Glock, but am bringing one in 9mm since my 10mm G20 is far too expensive to shoot for fun.

I just stuck a bunch of those felt circles in there and it fits tightly. If I need to switch guns, I'll just take them out
