Verizon is on a CDMA network. ATT is on a GSM network.

You are limited to Tmobile or one of the companies that piggyback their (and ATT's) towers.

They are better, but not due to their customer service.
I'm not up to date on atts plans, but I have no roaming charges, unlimited talk and text, and 30gb a month. My bill is a little over $180 a month. fricking ridiculous, but they are the only provider with coverage everywhere that I go.
