Houston will take the field on Friday not as the Astros but as the Eagles -- the only Negro Leagues team to play in Texas.

Going for 7 in a row tonight. Springer show being nationally broadcast. Blackout lifted and the game will be aired on MLB Network.

Oberholtzer vs. Miguel Gonzalez

Going to have to find a bar that will be showing this. It would be the first game I have gotten to watch in a very long while.

Hopefully Springer is still thumping the ball when I go in August.

The pitching was buried by Springer-mania, but righties Josh Fields and Chad Qualls combined for three shutout innings, lowing the ‘pen’s ERA to 1.22 over the last 16 games, best in the majors in that span.

Man if we wouldn't have had such a terrible April, we'd be right in the thick of things

Well, here is a tidbit about the Astros not so impressive pitching prospects, according to our very own LE.

So would singleton be on the mlb roster by now had he not failed a drug test for weed? Can't be worse than carter chopping wood every AB.

Bump.

I'll be damned if I let the DAT fall off the first page during this winning streak.

Can't wait. Finally an a Astros game I don't have to stream on my computer to watch Only game i've been able to watch have been the Rangers games. When the White Sox came to town I was all excited to watch the game on WGN, Nope blackout
If we could get a freaking TV deal worked out with providers I know there would be more interest in this club right now.

Just a side question, not to hijack. Since I'm blacked out on MLB network from Astros games, home and away, I assume it's because I'm in their viewing area. Exactly what TV station are they on? I'm not an Astros fan, so I haven't been following.

They lifted the blackout tonight on MLB network because it's the Civil Rights game. Otherwise if you are in the Astros viewing area the game would have been a blackout. Only reason I get Astros Rangers games is because we are in their viewing area and games are on FSSW.

Astros are on CSN Houston (not FSSW like the Rangers). Very few households carry CSN-H, which is why Astros fans from all over are bitching about their TV deal and celebrate when we can finally watch a game on TV.

The Astros used to be on FSSW, and I much prefer watching them to the Rangers. So they're on a real regional network that doesn't reach La., yet we're still blacked out. Nuts.

Stros have the longest winning streak in the majors right now and Springer is actually getting people to talk about them

I feel the cosmos...
