Sterling is a douche, but the fact that the public hates him more than guys like Hernandez, Madoff, Phil Spector, etc. just doesn't seem right.

That's more a function of attention span. Had the timelines been reversed so would those percentages.

It's ridiculous he's hated more than murderers (Hernandez, oj) and more than someone who stole billions of dollars from innocent people....just shows you the politically correct mindset of today's society

If Sterling's only offense had been the recorded phone call, you'd have a valid point.

But still, I think that David Stern and the media deserve a lot more heat for enabling this man for over three decades.

But yeah, the fact that he is absolutely unapologetic about being a racist makes him a pretty terrible person. Not as bad as the people you mentioned, but still pretty bad.

I don't really hate any of the people listed. I largely ignore their existence because they don't affect me one way or the other.

Oh, and this, too, while I'm agreeing with people.

I'd not hard to know why...

Aaron Hernandez doesn't really affect any of us. It affects the families... but he didn't do anything to any of us.

But Donald Sterling affected many people with what he said. Many people took offense to what he said... so they were affected by his words (as stupid as that is).

So it's not hard to see why he's hated more. He had an impact on more people because he did something to them.

In other words... if somebody kills somebody else on the other side of the world, that has no affect on you. But if somebody calls your mother a bitch, then that affects you.

I originally didnt even hate sterling. I just thought he was some crazy old man. But after watching his interviews. And the way he just decided to go after Magic Johnson for no reason. I definitely have zero love or respect for Mr. Sterling. Idk who half of those people are. I fully loathe Hernandez because I was a big fan of his, and when the allegations first came out I was still on his side and he has just made me look like a dumbass. Although Im a huge Michael Jackson fan. I cant find it any me to hate Dr. Murray at all. I still feel as if he shouldnt have been arrested. Im not a Justin bieber fan by any means. But I have absolutely 0 reason to hate him

Glad to see you insist on crying about Obama in every post on more boards than just Political Talk.

I guess that's what bothers me most about this, all of "well this is no surprise to anyone inside NBA circles" Where have you been then? Why are the players suddenly so enraged? You're going to tell me they haven't been aware of the guys history?
