Where to get trailer Galvanized
Posted by Propagandalf on 5/29/14 at 9:32 am00
I'm over hauling my boat and have it off the trailer at the moment. I was going to sand blast the trailer and was wondering if anyone knows a place to get the trailer hot dipped around Baton Rouge (or reasonable distance)?

If you can't find anyone to galvanize it, put Dimetcote on it after it's blasted.
Did a bar-b-que pit with that stuff and lasted for years, despite hot temps. Google it. Expensive but worth it.

Not sure of any places down south. I'm sure there are some though. We had Aztec in Waskom, TX dip a 16ft. trailer for us that still looks great, but that would be a pretty far drive for you.

Westside can probably handle it, they coat most structural steel in that area, if they're not to busy...
