Looking to buy a new mattress

Anyone buy a mattress in the last year or two? Looking for comfort for best value (obviously). I don't feel like spending 3 grand on something if I can get something close to equal for $500-600 on Overstock.

Don't go cheap on something you'll be spending a large portion of your life laying on.

Bedding plus has simmons on sale right now. D1 bought a queen set for $689 yesterday.
I recommend latex bliss. Best 5 grand I ever spent. No aches or pain when I wake up. Sleep like a baby every night.

Let me clarify, I don't mind spending a lot if it's worth it. Looking for the best value. I don't really know much about mattresses which is why I started the thread. If I'm just paying premium for a well known name when there are equal products for less, that's what I'm looking to find out.

Serta iComfort mattress. Best $2200 I have spent in a while. I sleep so much better now and actually wake up refreshed. Helped with back stiffness also.

I just bought one two months ago. I bought a Simmons hybrid (springs and memory foam) for about $2k. I've slept so much better with it.

People are so spoiled. @ spending thousands on a mattress.

There are plenty of good options in the cheap mattress game. Is this a gap filling mattress, or your next long term mattress. If the latter, don't go cheap. If you want to spend 500 bucks and don't mind switching again 3 years from now, that'll work fine.

I spent five thousand to go from waking up every hour or so at night on a thousand dollar mattress to waking up never. With my health problems I can justify the cost of it. I also have horrible so I bought the most hypoallergenic.
