Just wondering what y'all think. I thought that was our weak spot last year.

Which part?
If we're talking the beginning of '13, then yes, we're better (Armstead + healthy Evans).
If we're talking the end of '13, then probably not, since we really don't have a proven Center to speak of.

It's better than it was for the majority of the season, when Brown was our LT. Center is the only issue and either they think Lelito is enough (I hope not) or they still plan to sign a Vet.
I'm not worried about the starters on the line. Only depth.

Addition by subtraction with DLP. Guards will hopefully not be saving our centers arse on every play from now on.

Depth: no as of now

I'm going to let this question marinate for a while. Ask me again tomorrow.

Weakest spot last season was WRs getting separation.

The line improved tremendously late in the season. Once that Brown guy was benched for that rookie Armstead and after he had a game under him.

Ehhh.
We haven't found a replacement for Kromer yet.
Brown didn't cut it last year and Armstead played well for two games.
DLP was a stalwart for two years, then had a bad year. Was that because of an injured Evans? Because Kromer left? I don't really think we can just say, "addition by subtraction" since he hasn't really been replaced yet.
Evans should be healthy which is a really good thing.

Stalwart is far from it.
He was always an average replacement that went downhill as the arguably best 2 guards (Nicks/Evans) in the NFL left or got injured.

DLP is an average center. He is not terrible. The problem last season on the o-line was Brown, and it was very obvious. It was clear as day how much of a difference it made to have Armstead playing. Also, Evans played injured for a while, and that hurt as well. A healthier Evans along with a competent LT made the line pretty damn good. DLP is nothing spectacular, but he is decent and certainly wasn't the issue last season. I definitely believe the Center spot can be upgraded, and I'm hoping Lelito can not only feel the void, but also improve it.

Its funny the difference between the line now and the first few years of brees' tenure here.

Coco, what did you use for a marinade?
It worked quick.
