Of course that was sarcasm

Very telling reception, but I am sure Barry will not get the message, nor care.

What is a damn shame is that worthless piece of shite has so little respect for America or the military.

In another thread, Montel went off about his speech. Something about how can the president at West Point, say he's giving 5 billion to terrorist and not even address the VA issue.

You can have your political opinions and that's fine, but there was a time in this country when people, especially at a place like West Point, would give proper respect for the office. It's the correct and patriotic thing to do. But in today's society people are more concerned with their "side" or their views than they are their country and this thread is a prime example. It's embarrassing.

The office is only as respectable as the person who occupies it.

So I take it that you're a moral relativist? Because how "respectable" someone is or isn't is completely in the eye of the beholder.

I agree. The office deserves respect.

But there's a little part of my brain....

"Payback is a bitch" considering what the left did with the last president.

two way street. you think they should applaud when he knew of the VA issue and says he's giving 5 billion dollars to terrorists in his speech? To those graduating from WP?

Really? Applaud that? Is that so Obama can then stand up and say "Look, even the military agrees with me!"

quote:

“The president just promised $5 billion for terrorists around the world?! At West Point?!” Williams said angrily. “Where he could have used the day to say, ‘I’m sorry for the pain that I’ve caused you, the families, and I’m gonna fix it today!’”

quote:
“I’m angry because, you know, we made a promise. When I stood with my hand up proudly, I said, ‘I do solemnly swear and affirm to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic and I will bear true faith.’ I went through my oath,” Williams said.

“I told the world I’m willing to put my life on the line and die for you,” he continued. “Now, our guys went over. They left body parts. Some of them never made it back. Some of them are here now and their souls are still there. And we have the audacity to turn our back on them right this second?”

well okay but with this kind of mentality, you're no better than the people on the left that you claim to despise so much.

They have respect for the office, thus they only withheld applause and did not jeer the things they disagreed with.
