Question for you Bhp..

Do you instantly trust Cpt.. Bengal or his "source"?

And why?

Is it because of Cpt Bengal's long record of untruths or Glenn Beck's?

Actually it's shocking at this point. Shocking that seemingly intelligent people still follow Cpt Bengal and the Wasington Free Beacon.

You're right VB...it's such a made up ridiculous story that the state dept actually issued a formal apology.

I made them do that.....just for you.

1) No..I just find an excuse to make a humorous post and use it

2) I heard this on the radio earlier today. Does not make it true. But, i DID hear about it.

I don't keep a scorecard on fellow posters. My posting in anyone's thread is not an endorsement. I often take the Devil's Advocate side and post "to be fair,..." , etc.

BTW, nothing in THIS post is meant to disparage Cpt. Bengal, either. My refutation of your inference is 'stand alone'. It says nothing about the opposite position.

I find it disheartening that people still "support" the dishonest, disingenuous, asshat occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

It's certainly fair to be skeptical of those sources.

I am the same way about many. Typically, when someone posts stuff from such sites, I just google to see if I can come across a source I'm more comfortable with.

Did you at least check in this case? I mean, just flatly dismissing info you don't like doesn't make you a lot better than the sites you deride.

I find your post disheartening and disengenuous and for a black man to call the president an "asshat", I feel sorry for you. Especially on the day Maya Angelou passed away.

quote:

In a 2000 O interview, Oprah brought up the fact that she'd seen Angelou throw someone out of her house for telling a racist joke. Angelou replied that it was her duty, as always, to speak up, for everyone. "I'm convinced that the negative has power," she said. "It lives. And if you allow it to perch in your house, in your mind, in your life, it can take you over. So when the rude or cruel thing is said—the lambasting, the gay bashing, the hate—I say, 'Take it all out of my house!' Those negative words climb into the woodwork and into the furniture, and the next thing you know they'll be on my skin."
