My wife and I are spending a long work/fun weekend in LA this weekend. Any suggestions of restaurants/bars we must try out?

We are staying downtown, but not afraid to travel if it is worth it.

Thanks

It depends on what you are looking for. It you're going to be downtown, check out LA Live. Lots of different bars and restaurants.

Wurstkuche is a sausage restaurant on 3rd Street in L.A. I've been once and really liked it.

There are tons of restaurants and bars downtown. The rooftop bar at The Standard Hotel is always a fun place to go and people watch.

Hope you have a great time!!

Give one of the Korean BBQ places a try. Last time we were there we were supposed to try Genwa, but our plans with my wife's cousins fell through. I haven't actually been but they swear by the place.

Anyone of Suzanne Goin's joints would be a good spot (Lucques and AOC) also Pizzeria Mozza and their Mozzarella bar are pretty well received by the food press and such. Its a Batali backed place but run by Nancy Silverton.

thanks everyone for your suggestions.

I must admit, the hotel bar at the Standard sounds attractive.
