What's the worst example of parenting you've witnessed?

I just overheard a woman coming out of a walmart mcdonalds reassuring her 5 year old that chicken McNuggets were healthy "not quite vegetables, but they're healthy"
Now I'm no anti-fast food nazi, but atleast be honest with your kids about how he's eating shite
I usually notice these things In walmarks and I just have to shake my head and feel sorry for the kid, any examples you got?

I saw that, unbelievable

It baffles me that so many people come to the OT in the event of an emergency

I once encountered a grown adult who had been allowed to post on the internet in a thread about the Greatest American Author without ever reading Huckleberry Finn.

Double screwed.
One time in downtown Houston, I was walking behind a (white) family going to a meeting. One of the kids bent over to grab/touch a homeless guy. The mom pulled the kid away and said "don't touch them, they are dirty"

Good for her, I don't want no bum bump

I saw a mid 40's, roughly 6 foot 200 lb man go after a 5'4" 105 lb 13 year old girl after she put the euro-step on his daughter for the game winning bucket.

Or strangers in general for that matter. Keep your hands to yourself

I think they're referencing the "dirty" part, bird brain.

Especially about kids. Half the posters here don't have kids and think they're advice is impeccable.

They are dirty and sometimes dead. Better not to touch them.

So is it good parenting to tell your kid that the sun is bright?

If he starts staring into it all day then yeah

Basically any parent who lets their kids stay inside all day and play video games and never make them go outside to play.
Drives me nuts. When I grew up we were outside all the time, rain or shine.

I see really fat 3-5 year olds daily. In my opinion these are the worst types of parents to allow their children to get like that.
