Seems like there's a totally different standard for Manziel when compared to other high profile draft picks

How so?

I remember the media bitching that Manziel got kicked out of a frat party.

I mean, why the hell was that even news? Yet the media tried to make it into some big deal like Manziel was out of control like Lindsay Lohan or something.

Color me confused. Everybody shreds Manziel's character constantly.

How exactly is Manziel behaving since being drafted?

Cam followed the "rules"'after being drafted kept a low profile, worked with a QB coach, said the right things publicly, ect ect, yet people still predicted he'd fail and he was highly scrutinized.

I'm just curious what the media reaction would have been to Cam partying in Vegas after being drafted by Carolina

Everybody is predicting Manziel to fail... and that wouldn't have changed if he "layed low" or if he partied after being drafted.

Your point makes no sense.

Cam was also basically named the starter day 1 and Manziel is "third string"

keep a low profile

Manziel sat coach in a middle seat. That's about as low profile as you can get at that point.

All I'm hearing is, "Oh that's just Johnny" "it's no big deal". Seems like people are making excuses for him

It would have been even worse in regards to ESPNs coverage of it.

I wouldn't care, just like I don't care what Manziel is doing.

People actually complain about Cam Newton going back to Auburn to finish his degree. They felt he should have spent his offseason in Carolina. This really happened

60% are crushing manziel, 40% are defending him.

probably the exact same percentage as cam detractors vs cam supporters. if youre going to insinuate its race related, then man up and say. dont just tip toe around it and imply it

I see the Auburn Panthers are still knighting for Cam.

Will neither confirm nor deny.

That being said I have followed Cam fairly closely since his time at Auburn and I've always thought the media coverage of him has been biased and unfair
