Frontrunner for my honeymoon and I need some advice on where to stay and some idea how much I might spend for a week there.

Travel agent is only giving me the most expensive options (like 15k villas) so I might go around her and do this shite myself.

Would help if I had some direction of places to stay though. Want ocean view, king size bed, big bathtub, and all inclusive food/drinks. Don't give a shite about exploring except maybe a quick snorkling adventure.

Well she gets travel agent deals and she has sent couples to all the resorts in the area. I have used her before and trust her judgement, but she is coming back with absurd figures this time.

travel agents are paid vacationers, they get comped by airlines, hotels, resorts, etc., to push their product, this day and age, the internet is your travel agent

You should have bumped your last thread, my first TD thread.

You should probably just go to Biloxi.

Stay somewhere on Grace Bay.

It is a really nice place, but there really isn't much to do outside of snorkeling. When you go snorkeling, be sure to have your boat guy take you by some of the outer islands where you'll see some of the most ridiculous houses in the world. All kinds of celebrities and uber-wealthy Americans and Europeans have places on those islands.

The restaurants are really good.

It is windswept...so not much outside the ocean and water.

Go to TripAdvisor.com, plug in the dates you want to go, read reviews, & find what you're looking for. There's no reason to pay for a travel agent in this day and age.

I've been. I hate all inclusive so I rent villas. I prefer St. John to Turks.

If only there was a discussion about this, a lengthy, opinionated one.
