Need suggestions for a good lunch spot in Austin. Will be in town later this week and looking for a good spot to kill a few hours and have a few drinks with lunch. Agnostic to price point.

Torchy's. For food, not necessarily drinks. Great spot for lunch.

Paggi House
The Driskill
Bess Bistro

I honestly don't know if any of those are open for lunch. My real suggestion is

Asia Cafe... best authentic Asian cuisine in Austin. It's amazing. Twice Cooked Fish is the meal to get if you go

Vivo Tex Mex

2015 Manor Rd

Austin, TX 78722

It's right off I-35. Puffy tacos are great.

Not sure what the weather will be like down there later this week or where in Austin you're going to be but I could kill a few hours/beers/cocktails/brain cells on the patio at any of these places:

The Dogwood
J. Black's
Bangers Sausage House and Beer Garden
Moonshine
The Dog and Duck Pub

ETA: Just saw that you asked for something a little more upscale so this list is probably off. Although, I could make a case for Moonshine Bar and Grill

Banger's is one of my favorite spots. They used to have this awesome deal where you could get any traditional sausage, side and TX beer for $8. Called the executive lunch, I think. It's not on the menu anymore but they might still give it to you if you ask. They are only open for lunch Thurs-Sun now, though...I think.

I'll be in town

Eastside Cafe and South Congress cafe would count as nicer wouldn't they?

I think they are re-opening at some point but it will be in a different location so who knows how well it will do.
