Costa Rica isnt bad at $588 round trip....everything is a good deal down there too.

Go sign up for Airfare Watchdog, type in your home airport and they'll send you weekly emails of low fare deals. Couple years ago I got a roundtrip flight from New Orleans to Barcelona with taxes, fees, etc... for $420.

fly to Cancun, then bus to Merida (if you like city) or Tulum/Playa del Carmen (if you like beach). Eat, drink, and sleep like a champ for very little. You can usually fly to Cancun for under $400 from most places in the US

How much are you looking to spend? You can goto cancun for around 1200 a person to an all inclusive for 5 days
