If we lost to Florida do you think we are still the 8 seed?

Since we got the last national seed, if we lost to Florida do you think we fall just short of receiving it or do you think we would've still gotten top 8 with a loss?

I think if we lost to FLA we would NOT be a top 8 seed. Probably Rice.

No but we would win the CWS because we would get to avoid the dreaded dog pile emotionally draining us.

Hard to say. If we lost a close game, then maybe. If it was a blowout, then no.
We still had an impressive run as well as the head to head over Ole Miss in Oxford.

I feel fairly confident all along we had to win it to get the shot at it.
I truly don't think so had we not run the table. It was just enough IMO and we just got that 8th seed.

shutting out and 2-hitting florida made a ton of difference imo
winning 6-5 may not have gotten us a top 8 seed

Germans but the ESPN talking heads and the leader of the selection committee speculated that there were others waiting in the wings for the coveted #8 spot - including Vandy and Rice. LSU whipping Vandy and then winning the SEC tourney IMHO was the difference. NO we would not have gotten #8 seed. Good question.
