"Obscure" Cable Channels

I say "obscure" only because I rarely watch anything outside of HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, PBS, Sundance, IFC and Turner Classics. Oh, and every now and then, regular network tv. And sports. And FX for Justified. Okay, that covers most of it, I think.
I started a related thread on the food board about cooking or dining shows. But in addition, what's out there that I should give a shot. It can be good documentary channel . . . science, history, geography, public interest, whatever. Or something with movies or series that I haven't paid attention to. I know I'm opening the door pretty wide. So let's limit it to something that requires a brain OR that's so ridiculous that you just have to have fun with it.

We've been dvring a show called America eats. Basically like how it's made for food. Gives historical aspects as well. I think it's on bio but I'm not 100% sure.

Could be interesting. I keep forgetting about the Bio channel. I fricking need to take my ADD medication and scroll some more.

Doesn't exist anymore but there used to be a channel called Trio(I think) had an awesome Mockumentary called "Whose the Caboose?". It was about TV networks pilot season and had Sarah Silverman in it. Was really funny and the only thing I ever watched on that channel.

I like tv land. It has great old shows. But it's hard to believe they belong on tv land when I remember tv land being shows like Bob Newhart and Mary Tyler Moore

Bio is good for mafia and crime docs.
Movieplex shows some lesser known but interesting movies.

MeTV. I record many of the old shows, The Untouchables, Jack Benny, Naked City, Taxi and
Rawhide.
Would rather watch these instead of the reality and talent shows of today.

I just saw this the other day. It looks interesting, although some evenings look better than others. Have to check out the programming schedule.
ETA: Just checked the schedule. It seems some of the programming that interests me is at off hours . . . say midnight and into the early am. Have to record I guess.

Yeah, I think MeTV is the one that shows Twigglight Zone and Hitchcovk marathons.

I always have something scheduled to DVR on MeTV. The Odd Couple every Friday night. They also have Sci-Fi Saturdays with Batman, Wonder Woman, Star Trek, Lost in Space, etc.
I was liking NuvoTV when they had Hill Street Blues and NYPD Blue. Not so much now that they booted those shows.
Robert Rodriguez's El Rey Network is pretty nice. Lots of old Kung Fu movies and Drive-In flicks. Plus old 70's cop shows like Starsky and Hutch.
The new Starz Indie Channel is great, now that Sundance and IFC are no longer indie channels.

And they used to be so good and commercial free.

There's one show that literally has every single thing you asked for in each and every episode.
New episodes of Ancient Aliens are on the History Channel and you can get back seasons on Amazon Prime.
