Jurgen's a bit sketchy: Didn't tell Goodson why he left him off roster

I'm not a big Clarence Goodson fan but I mean he deserves to know what he could have done better or differently.

I don't understand - if you don't choose him, there has to be at least a decent reason you can articulate.
Even if its just - we didn't fee like your skill set matched up well with some of the speed we will see in our Group, etc.
I thought he would make it - mostly due to the experience factor and how steady he plays.

I think it's safe to say Jurgen isn't exactly a player's coach. Which is fine, but you're not gonna get a great response from your players if you have a reputation for treating them like little children.

Sounds to me like the reason is tactical in nature and didn't want players giving that reason to the press or the other competing nations.
Info coming out of this camp has been tight, wouldn't be shocked if some misinformation was being leaked too.

I don't have a problem with JAB making the team. I think it's a bitch arse move for Jürgen to not give him an explanation though.

They're essentially the same player right now. It's a coin toss, which the German was always going to win.

I think he got an explanation, he just didn't agree with it. Then he did go to the press.
My thought on what happened is Goodson and Brooks were about even with the tie going to athleticism.

Jurgen has been too honest for 3 years now...all of a sudden he is going to change his personality for Goodson. I just don't buy it...He's hurt and went to the press. Never run to the press over a coach's decision.

Jurgen's time here has been such a rollercoaster.
I remember when everyone wanted Bradley out and Jurgen in.
I also remember when things weren't going well, and players were anonymously talking shite.
Then we started to dominated in WCQ, and everyone loved Jurgen again.
Everyone is on the Jurgen bandwagon, and then he cuts Donovan...
