Just curious, but what was he checking for? What do batters use in college that could be cheating on these bats?

Definitely a desperate move by Florida. Next thing you know they'll be pulling UC Irvine street ball tricks.

Dents, would be dangerous if the bat broke.

Just a trashy coach taking away from a well played game on both sides. Even the announcers thought it was amateurish!

Well we need to check Florida bats as well since they are dangerous in the air

He was either checking for pine tar on the barrel, or dents

I actually did a search and only came up with the in game thread stuff. Sorry guys, I know having this thread again ruined your day. I'll go away and let everyone jerk each other off again per usual.

I was in and out of the pool watching the game at a friends house so I missed that. Seems like another trashy move by him. Not surprising, though.

Douche should have checked their bats for holes.

There is Bat rolling, and another handful of ways to improve the trampoline effect of the sweet spot

ETA: Dents apparently in this instance though

Does a dented bat offer some advantage or is it some kind of safety issue ?

Brageous-can you post a video link of that bat going in the stands? That could've been a horrible moment for some folks.
