Nola Poche and Bouman are the only pitchers not available.

Cartwright, McCune, Bugg and Broussard should be able to get us 9 innings if neccesary.

@DellengerAdv: Odds are it's him. #LSU RT @JacquesDoucet: Mainieri had a long talk with Cartwright in the dugout after the game.

First out of the pen will depend on the matchup. Then cune would start the next inning, IMO

Cartwright, as told to me by him, after the game today. But who knows Mainieri may change by game time tomorrow

I don't know why they would be reluctant to use Poche.

When I was a kid my favorite pitcher was Bob Gibson. I didn't understand how truly good he was until latter when I understood his stats.

In 67 and 68 he pitched three complete games in each world series. Completed 28 games of the 34 he started in 68 and had an ERA of 1.12. LINK

Now I am sure he laughs at today's pitchers needing 6 and 7 days rest.

Uh, the 'Cune has been absolutely nails his last 5 outings or so...Personally Id start Cartwright and hope for 3-4 innings, then McCune for 2-3, then let Bugg/JoeBrou close it out. Championship!

These kids are in college and hopefully still have long careers ahead of them. There is zero reason to spend his arm that much on this game as a freshman. Let him rest.
