Been a while since a Bapple video has been made so I had to brush some of the rust off.

Solid review. I too prefer the 6920... and outside of going with that bcm kmr over the troy cylindrical rail system, and sort of a preference on eotech viewing window vs aimpoints slightly smaller viewing window I couldn't agree more. If you buy one out of the box, Colt has earned their badge as the standard AR set up from an extreme novice that has shot no other ARs.

Exactly, everyone has their preference. I am more of an Aimpoint guy and I don't like quad rails that much. But the AR is insanely customizable and can be geared toward any user.

GoT1de, that is a really good price. I'm also a fan of the Magpul furniture.

Great thing about aimpoints is the fact you can leave them on and the battery will last several years, depending on model.

EO Techs in my experience, with the older model like the 512, will kill batteries and the exposed windage/elevation adjustments can be inadvertently hit during rough use of the rifle. The battery compartment lever is also prone to breaking. EO Thingys do have a neat way to aim/judge target distance with the recticle.

The xps models' batteries go for either 500 or 600 hours. To me that seems long enough for a few battles, but that is a solid feature tho from aim point to last that long. As far as windage and elevation being compromised, I can't mentally fathom that on the xps and have heard of it, but now I'm gonna keep my attention on that. That would be a serious potential reason for a change.

My experience is with EOTech 512's. I would chose an aim point over that any day. No experience with other EO patch models.

I guess I did forget to mention battery life. And I leave my Aimpoint off when my gun is stored. So that battery may last me about 10 years.

I'm not sure if the old 512 is this way, but this model, the XPS2, had recessed windage and elevation adjustments. But they aren't completely covered like the Aimpoint adjustments.

This one used one CR123 lithium battery so the compartment was different. But I know exactly what you're referring to.

Agreed. They also work extremely well with a magnifier. There are ups and downs of both but I guess Aimpoints for me are a better choice. YMMV.

That guy at 100 yds sure is awfully close looking. Not a so accurate scale.

You ever use an eotech?

65 MOA at 100yards equates to a man 5'5" tall. Math and stuff brah.

Damn. I never knew that was why the circle was that size. That is very interesting Murdock.

Taught me something new today...

Most items used for the .mil have design features like that. Make things easier in battle.

Then I am lost. The pic says 65 at 100 yds. Sounds like a magnification.

Use the circle as a reference point. Dot to center your aim.
