Coincidentally I just heard this for the first time on Thursday night. A colleague's younger sister (cute, pierced lip, shortish purple hair) described herself as cisfemale, and I gave the blank look and asked her what the hell that was. When she explained it I'm pretty sure my mind was blown for the first time in my adult life.

She also referred to herself as "they" because the pronouns he/she assumed binary gender something or another, and she rejected that as a genderqueer person.

I find it amusing that the "all inclusive" spend so much time categorizing themselves (and others )

You know, as crazy as those people are to me, I am glad we live in a country were people can be individuals and as weird as we can be within the limits of the law.

My biggest fear for my kids is what seems to be an increased government intrusion on that expression.

Why do you need a word for that?

So that transgenders don't feel different.

At what point, in an instance like this, don't we look past the diversity perspective of this and ask ourselves if these people are in need of psychological intervention. I mean, what are the odds that any of them will develop into healthy, functional adults.
