Parking is awful all up and down Washington. Don't really know anything about those specific places though. Also, each of those neighborhoods is quite different. What exactly are you looking to be located around?... You really want to be in an apartment? I rented a duplex on W. Dallas for 3 years and loved it.

My good friend lives in the tower @ Allen Parkway and Studemont. She pays just shy of 2k but they have valet as well and it's like Ft. Knox.

900-1100 sqft and great view of the pool/Buffalo Bayou.

I used to live in Amli memorial heights. It was pretty nice. That was several years ago though.

I'd be cool with a duplex too, but not sure hot to go about finding a good one in the area. I prefer montrose, honestly. I'm just open to either. Ideally, I'd like to rent in montrose for a couple years then buy something in the heights, but it's so difficult to buy in the heights right now, so we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

Eta: won't be long meaux

There is some really nice high rises on Allen Pkwy, there's also some lofts right off of I 10 that are in a great location. I think they're called sawyer heights

I used an agent, but you can find plenty of leases available on HAR.com. I'd recommend Montrose over those areas. I think where I lived was technically 4th ward, but it was on W. Dallas just a couple blocks from Montrose St.

Check out the places between west Dallas and washington, off studemont/montrose. That's a great area to live. Look on Craigslist for people looking to have their leases taken over.

I just moved into AMLI memorial heights last summer and love it. I was looking at Camden, but more things in walking area at AMLI.

My buddy lives in Jackson Hill and he seems to enjoy it, but no balcony. A porch/balcony is clutch for me.

HAR.com is great. Thanks.

Found 2 condos I'm going to go check out soon in a complex that one of my best friends lives in, Reatta at River Oaks. Love that place. Well priced to.
