Win the SECT and a top 8 could happen.

RPI can EAD

It went up 1 for beating Vandy

It goes up 3 for beating Arkansas

Ole miss losing to Arky might help too.

RPI is heavily weighted towards beating teams with artificially low ERA.

This is where I'm torn. Ole Miss losing helps us pass them up in RPI, but beating Ole Miss could be a huge RPI boost as well.

The only way we get one is if the Cajuns don't. No way the Committee has Supers within 40 miles apart.

No, same bump, but today some teams ahead of us lost.

Yeah, I don't know exactly which would be better. I think ole miss going 2-2 would be good enough to get them a national seed. Them finishing 2nd in the SEC and 1st in the west would trump us going 3-1 against them IMO. But stranger things have happened. A larger RPI disparity might hold more weight for your point.

I'd like Arkansas to beat Ole Miss. Simply because they'd be out of pitching. Plus Ole Miss going 1-2 is better for LSU.

I think so too. Losing to Arky would bump their RPI behind us and frankly might be behind us by a good bit (4-5) by the end of the weekend if things work out for us.

Yeah if we are really competing with Ole Miss for a spot, any wins they get will hurt us imo. Even if we come back and beat them Saturday.

I'm pulling for Arkansas.
