I know there's a ton of outrage about certain players not making the team. World Cup doesn't start until June 12th. If we have an injury or somebody underperforms between now and then could they be replaced? I'm not wishing injury on anyone just curious about how that works. Please excuse my ignorance.

I believe the rosters aren't final until June 4.

I certainly hope Bradley and Howard are raising hell right now.

What are the chances that this is a ploy to screw up Ghana's preparations? Come the deadline, US Soccer would issue a press release saying "Just kidding, Donovan is on the squad. Did you really think we would select Brad Davis over him?"

That would be the shittiest thing to do to Brad Davis.

I just wish this was a false report.

Yeah, that's what we need. You do remember how that worked for France in 2010, right?

This dude would rather Michael Bradley shoot Klinsmann and stand over him smiling than us play without Donovan. It's absurd. Those two players were there for the process. I guarantee they probably understand completely.

That's because the French were dumb enough to extend the contract of a mentally ill man who believes in fricking astrology to make rosters.

Better have the unrest now than at the World Cup

If Donovan truly came in fat, then he deserves to be sent home.

Yeah, frick all this team training and working on cohesion. Let's start a mutiny a player that can't run being left off.

Unbelievable. You're acting as if this guy is Jabba the Hut with the soccer IQ of Robbie Findley all of a sudden.

You're acting like he's Cristiano Ronaldo. Both sides are overreacting. It's not that big of a deal.

The coaching staff saw fit to leave him off, just as the did when he was a sub in April. He'll come in if an injury necessitates it.

He's as close as the US has ever come to him. He was hands down the best player over the summer and in the fall, he looked no more out of place than Howard, Bradley, Dempsey, or any other stalwart.

Unbelievable how much sway 30 minutes against Mexico has, but of course, only for Donovan. Not for Omar or Green.
