I didnt realize how big of a bitch she was the first time I watched.

One could say her rash behavior is responsible for all the bad shite that happened to that family.

And she was such a count to Jon Snow...like he forced his way out of Neds dick and into some whore.

it upset her most that Jon was the most like Ned and not any of her kids.

I think Sansa did most of that, but she certainly contributed to it a bunch. Her attitude didn't help any situation at all.

She did a lot of stupid shite that endangered her family, especially taking Tyrion.

Yeah. She's probably my least favorite Point of View character in the books as well. She was even worse to Jon in the books and actively told him she wish he had died.

I never warmed up to her because of this.

Sansa has done nothing of the sort. Anything Sansa did in King's Landing was nothing compared to what Cat has done. She set off the powder keg to the War of the Five Kings by abducting Tyrion, she made the horrible arrangement with the Freys (including marrying off Arya to the boy who was last in line for the Twins, which was like #100), and she stupidly let Jaime go. Any damage Sansa did would have been done by Littlefinger anyway.

Yeah, she sucked pretty hard. I noticed that when I rewatched it as well.

One thing that stood out to me, and I've said this before, about season one is how awesome it is because it's so narrowly focused compared to the show in later seasons up to now. There were only a few things going on, so a lot of time was spent on each story. And I think the show excelled because of that.

She's a foil to Cersei in a way. Both love their children. Both wound up marrying someone they didn't want. Only Cat learned to love her man. Cersei didn't.

The Starks are all basically a shite show, but a lovable shite show.

For Ned and Robb, doing what was "right" gets them and their loved ones killed. For Catelyn, trying to do what is "smart" gets her and her loved ones killed. Sansa's immaturity and naivety sets a lot of the wheels in Motion. Arya's impulsiveness and unruly behavior sets some wheels in motion. Bran should have listened to mama, and Rickon is just a crazy little fricker.

I almost added to the OP that Cersei and Cat basically were the cause of all the conflict.

But saying Cersei is a bitch is like saying the sky is blue.

To me her only redeeming quality was her loyalty to her family (what she considered her "true" family). She was never one of my favorites either.

I can't remember; who did Caitlyn love before Ned? Did she actually want Littlefinger or was it only the other way around?

The first time I watched I only watched her as a woman trying to protect her family.

But upon further review she over extended herself and really made some poor descisions.

Ned needed to keep his bitch on a leash.

I am starting to think Jon Snow's mom's name was "Winter"

And Cat hearing the family motto all the time drove her insane.

Yeah, it was pretty evident in the books and maybe not so much in the shows that Catelyn felt more of a duty to Ned in marriage than she felt love for him.

shite...with all these arranged marriages, there doesnt seem to be a lot of loyalty.

Dany and Khal Drogo is the closest I can think to a couple that seemed to care for each other.

Maybe Snow and Igrit...until she filled him with arrows.

Catelyn clearly loves Ned.

I actually like her character in the sense that we are supposed to get aggravated with her because she does what one would expect a mother to do - act impulsively to protect her family.

She and Cersei are very similar in that regard.

Cersei is very calculated...I dont think she acts impulsively.
