Hey maybe they could demolish the Dome and just rebuild it with the same outward appearance, but fully modernized on the inside.

I think we can all agree that the NFL exists for the benefits of the owners. Owners want new stadiums to maximize profits, so the NFL awards Super Bowls to cities who build new stadiums as an incentive.

NOLA is one of the top three or four destinations for hosting big events, and the new stadium basically gets you one Super Bowl.

NOLA shouldn't play the game. The economic benefits of hosting are overblown, and the Superdome is a perfectly fine venue. In no way should a new stadium be a priority for the city.
