I just think it's hilarious if u follow bleacher report and how they say that Fournette will be worked in to the rb rotation slower than people think. They have him getting 700 yards on the year or something. The dude will be starting game 1 and if he doesn't take the first snap I guarantee he gets at least 20 touches against Wisconsin, and there will be nothing slow about his playing time. It might take him the whole year to fully know the offense but he will play big immediately behind a solid online. The day he puts on an LSU uniform he will be the beat player on the team. These guys just kill me. His rushing total projection should be more like Hills totals from last because we will not throw it as efficiently but defense should be better. Plus Hill missed 2 games. 700 yards!!' ridiculous!

Alfred Blue got a bunch of touches his first game as a true frosh against UNC and he was a 3 star nobody had heard of outside of recruitniks.

I don't expect Les Miles to give him the first carry--that will go to Kenny Hilliard/Magee, but as the top prospect in the country, I expect him to produce right away and get some playing time against Wisconsin on later drives.

In this run happy offense Fournette will get plenty of carries. He is going to be a beast.

Two of our RBs just got drafted. We sign the #1 RB to come out of high school in years. No way he doesn't get a shite load of carries right out of the gate.

All depends on how his fall camp goes. If he is the real deal and is picking up his assignments, he will play a lot in the first game.

Leonard was a very big get for LSU and it would be a great showcase for future recruiting if he can make a big splash.

Lots of talk about breaking him in slow, but I think that only happens if he slow on the uptake.

I'm going with 900-1100 yards.

I expect Fournette to get less carries that Magee, but more than Hilliard.

They're saying that because that's exactly what Frank Wilson, the guy most likely to make the call, said word for word in an interview last week. The plan is to get him adjusted to the game before throwing him in the fire. That doesn't mean he won't get carries against Wisky, but there's a lot more to the position than just grabbing the ball and taking off.

Frank was talking about teaching him the play book not playing time. We run the same running plays 5 to 6 times a game from different formations. Pass blocking assignments will be different.

I think by the end of the season that LF will have lead the team in carries, but if magee has similar ypc this year as he did last year, i cant imagine les miles will stop giving him the ball and give it to a freshman. But on the otherhand, if magee struggles early, i dont think les will hesitate to put in LF
