Switch Website domain servers. This shuts down emails despite assurances it wouldn't. New IT guys pass buck back forth with old IT guy.

No domain emails work at office. Emails don't work on cell phone even when on cell network. However emails work on iPad at home. Take iPad to work emails no longer work.

any ideas?

Hire better people.
Former Marines work well in this role.

You changed DNS Servers ?

Or they need to manually change DNS records on their local DNS server

This is a possibility also.

DNS records can take 24-48 hours to replicate around the entire internet, so it may work for one server but not another. Always do this late on a Friday.

There is a high chance more than one thing is configured incorrectly. If the local DNS does not know the IP address of the email server then you will not get emails in the office. Depending on how the MX records were changed, it may take a while for the MX record name / IP Address change to propagate across the internet.

What are you using for email, Exchange? What version? Did you change domain names or just providers?

I can sympathize. Those jackasses doing construction work at Drusilla have cut my analog fax lines twice now.

Everyone in this thread is right though. First make certain that the local mx & dns records are changed on your main domain controller. Then double check the public mx & dns records on mxtoolbox. If everything checks out, then it is a matter on waiting for inet propagation.

Are you connecting to a WiFi at work with your iPad? Meaning your PC and your iPad are accessing the internet via your work network? If so, I would suspect you have a bad entry on your local DNS server that needs to be updated. It would work at home b/c your internet provider there has the updated DNS records that have propagated after the changed was made.
