but what's the point of even leaving it up to the states if federal judges are going to declare it unconstitutional anyway? Can someone explain this. Might as well just get it over with and make it legal in all 50 states since the voice of the people is irrelevant.

Fwiw I am pro gay marriage.

The debate over gay marriage is over...save the singing.

Seriously. It's passe. It will be legal, nationally, within 5-6 years.

And most of us will say frick it and wish them well.

The voice of the people is irrelevant when it is incompatible with the Constitution.

Since 1776, there has been a battle between state and federal government for rights. Really before 1776 if you consider how long it took to draft the constitution.

Gay Marriage is no different.

Notice how nowadays, more and more people feel the need to throw in some BS PC disclaimer, particularly when offering an opinion or post about gays, blacks, or Latinos ?

Only if the people voice their opinion loudly enough in the manner prescribed to change the Constitution.

this is correct, people are afraid to say how they really feel for fear of reprimand from someone else

gayness is not natural...hell, if we were all gay, the human race would not exist, think about it...

Or if judges don't want dirty looks at dinner parties.

The point is - if something is unconstitutional - then the states, through the legislature or referendum, have NO say in the matter. Why do some folks have trouble understanding that?

What are gay rights? Aren't they just human rights? Gay people just like to put their dicks in different places than others do. Where's the debate?

And if we all had your analytic ability we would be slime mold on a rock. Do you have evidence that 'gayness' was created in a laboratory and is not natural?

It's been documented dating back to 5,000BC in humans and in multiple animal species. It's natural, just not as common.

The obligatory strawman argument rears it's head once again.

1. There is not now nor has there ever been nor will there ever be a threat that the human race will end bc people all turn gay and shite.

2. Gays reproduce. I have one friend who has a son through a surrogate. I have another friend who has a daughter with his lesbian friend. A lesbian couple I know have a kid getting pregnant via a sperm bank.

I hate to say this with a bloated federal government that is overreaching at every step and homos are really annoying lately

BUT

Two consenting adults being denied entering a contract based on gender is a federal question IMO

These judges are TERRIFIED. They KNOW what is going to happen to them, their families, their children, their grandchildren, etc. if they DARE to issue a ruling respecting the Constitution. The "gay rights" movement has turned into a TERRORIST organization.
