Knew a guy in college that was set for life. He got a rich girl pregnant. Her dad owned a business that got purchased for $500 million. This guy had a story about being from a good family with a trust fund. Once they were married it all came out that he was not who he had presented himself to be. Her father buried him in a divorce. I saw the guy in the Grove after an Ole Miss football game about a year after their divorce. He was all drunk and looked horrible. He grabbed me and said "Don't ever get married." I asked him what they did to him and he just said it was horrible. Dude graduated from Ole Miss with a PhD and was really sharp before all this happened. Truly amazing the difference it made in the short time I had known him.

Meh, he didn't fall that far IMO. Sounds like he's an idiot that made a dumb mistake.

I think they gutted him and hired PIs to totally expose him and rake him over the coals. It was like they unleashed their fortune to destroy him personally. Dude wasn't even 1/2 the man he once was.

I don't understand your story. So he lied about being rich? You should try this again.

what can they do to bury him? if you've got nothing, you got nothing to lose, all he did, according to your account is lie about his past, lying isn't against the law, certainly doesn't carry any post dissolution financial penalties, sounds like he's just crying in his beer over "what might have been"

Not that bad, IMO.

They could've made him watch the game.

Maybe I dont get it but why was the Father so upset that he went to the extreme to break up his daughters marriage? It's not as if he was a slouch that secretly worked at the Circle K, he had a frickin PhD.

Started working with another electrical engineer right out of college. Sharp guy, very educated. Somehow within a year and a half got into drugs (meth I think), after many warnings for being late or not showing up to work for various reasons got fired. I ran into him about a year after that in a Walmart. Took me a minute to recognize him. Dude looked and smelled homeless.
