Sleeping Tiger will be in this thread soon. He maintains that Pearl Harbor was an inside job.

This point is really the only way that this thread is suitable for the Poli Board -- whether the Democrat FDR administration intentionally allowed the attack on Pearl by ignoring the danger.

I don't agree with that theory, but, there are many who do.

I do not believe that the FDR administration orchestrated or allowed the attack in any way.

The most serious accusation that I would make is that FDR and his administration were incompetent, not evil.

Some choose not to. My father-in-law died at age 83. He never rehashed his 37 months in captivity during the Korean conflict until about 10 years before his death. My wife said the kids weren't allowed to watch war movies at home during their childhood.

I guess some things are just too painful to discuss until you're ready.

I try to find helpful words to place in the conversation whenever a fellow military member tells me about the horrors of seeing their comrades die.

If they are administering first aid or helping the victim at the time of death, I like to remind them of how comforting for the victim to have you there with them, trying to help them. What a selfless thing it is when you give yourself to someone in such distress. It's an act of supreme Godly and Brotherly love.

Then I thank them for being there for his brother or sister.

With all of the new war veterans going into civilian live, I think I'd like my message to be to them all -- don't forget that you have brothers and sisters with whom you share this bond. Find them in the Wounded Warrior Program, Disabled American Vets, Vets of Foreign Wars, American Legion or any other such organization.

This new generation of war vets should really get active in these organizations.
