Rewatching this show and I cannot understand why these guys are constantly broke... If Aquaman was the highest grossing movie in history.... You would think that they would have some coin. I know they spend a lot but isn't Vince making money off this movie even after his initial payday.?

He didn't make that much off Aquaman. The studio was trying to bump him up to just 10 mil for A2 before his Medellin threat. Terrible work by Ari.

I'm in the middle of season 5 on a rewatch. I could definitely see them being broke the way they party and spend And

Well to be fair when he made Aquaman he wasn't that big of an actor, and the contract had a stipulation for 3 movies if the first one did well. So when Ari got the studio up even a bit it was going higher than the contract

He wasn't a superstar but he was a movie star. He had a hit in Head On and an indy hit with Queens Blvd. Ari should've at least got him way closer to $20 mil for the sequels after Aquaman had the biggest opening weekend ever.

Tobey Maguire is a decent parallel except Vince was probably a bigger star. Tobey got 4 for Spiderman and 17+5% on the back-end for Spiderman 2.

The only time I seem to remember them talking about money problems was when Vince took that independent film in Queens that only made him $600,000.

Aside from that I always got the impression that they were comfortable. Not OT rich or ballin' out or anything like that, but like I said, comfortable.

The show was great at the beginning and slowly went down hill from there. I watched it all the way through though. It was better when they didn't have a woman help write it. Is she involved with the movie? I hope not, but I have a bad feeling

He and E spent all their money on Medellin and didn't make a dime off of it. Then he couldn't get a movie after that.
