Been wanting to start getting some track workouts in a couple times a week. Does anyone know of any schools (within the loop) that keep their gates open for access to a track?

I know you said within the loop but Atascocita Middle's track is wide open in the PM time.

Not far from the loop, but I think Memorial High keeps the track open

Memorial Park has a nice dirt track loop. And rice has a nice loop around campus.

Why do you require a track? Memorial Park, Hermann Park, Rice and Allen Parkway all have great running loops.

He's probably wanting somewhere with known, accurate distances for intervals.

To OP, I've got the same problem. Wanting something I can access near Greenway Plaza area. Nothing found yet. Rice U locks access to their track stadium.

Correct, I run a lot on the trails in and around downtown. Was just wanting to add some speed work which is always easier on a track for 200, 400, and 800 yard type sprints/jog.

Also, I know what they're doing and don't blame them, but don't really want to be the douche sprinting through people at Hermann Park while everyone else is just taking a casual jog or walk enjoying the nice day.
