Except I can only imagine it's ineptitude will increase exponentially with the scale of its size.

The dems are trying to say this is an isolated event and only 40 out of tens of millions of VA pt's died. However, those of us that have worked in the VA system know that those forty are not exceptions. I saw things in the VA that would've gotten any private hospital shut down. They're dirty, inefficient, and employ the cheapest labor they can. The only physicians there for the most part are ones that couldn't make it in the private sector or had "other issues". Anybody that's been in a VA hospital can attest to the almost third world atmosphere at these facilities. And I was at one of the nicer ones in Little Rock. Or at least that's what the vets said.

According to tv news, after this past weekend the possible number is now over a hundred.

Anybody who's in favor of government-run health care should go spend some time as a patient at the clusterfricks known as military branch medical clinics.

Only 40? Pfft. No problem. They needed to be purged from the system anyway because they were costing too much. Anyway they were war loving baby killers that deserved to die.
More justification for the single payer option. It will cull the system of the expensive and following the IRS example of targeting groups that the Regime disapproves of, make sure that those individuals that have violated the leftist ideology are removed from play.
It's win-win for the liberalistas.

But if common sense measures could save the life of just one child, it would be worth it...

But how is it fixed?

Do we need to privatize this?

Huge government contracts to Blue Cross to provide these veterans health care?

Kick all the veterans back out to the free market? Let the ones who are able to produce and have marketable skills be the only ones who can afford medical care?

And don't forget:

What if the AGW believers are right? Shouldn't we at least try everything we can, even if it saves the life of just one person?

Appoint a crony then give a large percentage of employees annual bonuses.
Make a guy retiring in two months "resign".

Wait we tried that already.

Obama's pissed he will get it fixed take that to the bank.

I think this VA mess, while definitely unacceptable no matter how many vets were mistreated, is really being blown out of proportion by right wingers trying to take advantage of any perceived screw up by the Executive Branch since the PPACA is nowhere near the debacle republicans were planning/hoping it would be.

Honestly republicans need to move forward and realize that healthcare has changed forever and always.

The funny thing is, when you ask people about the individual tenets of PPACA without calling it "ObummerCare" or whatever, people actually agree with it.

But, I digress; it's here to stay.

The VA will force people to buy insurance and then use private practitioners?

Or are you jumping forward to a single payer?

but it isn't what "Obamacare" is.

It's like we're changing what to argue against.

Similar to the "Communism is awful" arguments.
