As expected.
RT @dermotmcorrigan: Martino “I wanted to say that I have agreed with the club to end my time as Barcelona coach."

Pep back to Barca?
1. Bayern don't like him.
2. Barca love him.
3. He doesn't have to be afraid of Jose anymore.
Everybody wins!

Simeone could probably name his price for that job.

That would entail a major player overhaul, and an even major change in style acceptance, on the part of the fans. I don´t see it.

Only one man can rebuild the once-proud dynasty of Barcelona.

Didn't Martino even experience some mild philosophical push-back?

Quite possibly. I don´t recall when, but yeah, I think they thought he was a bit brash, too direct and ´unsophisticated ´ in attack. Whatever.
I don´t know if Sergi Roberto is ready to step in for Xavi (one who think so, they´ve been talking about him forever), that D needs to be shored up (strong rumor that David Luíz will be announced the first week of June), I guess Ter Stegen is on his way in....
Far from a dumpster fire, but grey and lethargic, for sure.
ETA Also, they´ve got to decide what to do with Çesc Fábregas.

Word on twitter is that Rick Barnes has turned the Barca job down.

done deal
The way the press talks he's already considering roster moves.
I think he's really an excellent manager who just wasn't quite ready to jump to a club like Roma. Not tactically but mainly in just dealing with the pressure.
I'm certainly no fan of Barca in the least but I like LE so much that it's hard for me not to hope he does well.

We'll take him please.

Don't know the extent of either injury. Just speculation at this point.
