Mark Jackson is returning to ESPN

Jackson will jump right back into the mix by calling the Eastern Conference finals and NBA Finals with fellow announcers Jeff Van Gundy and Mike Breen. It wouldn't be surprising to see Jackson back on the sidelines in the future, but this ESPN deal makes it improbable that he'll return to coaching next season.

Terrible. I can't stand him as an announcer. Please don't pair him with Van Gundy again. Jackson has no sense of humor.

I wonder if ESPN will run this story into the ground during that dead period after The Finals and before the NFL gears up. I bet they just have 24 hour Johnny Football coverage ala Bret Favre from 2008-2010.

Because he's had decent success as a head coach. I know he had run ins with mgmt, but who hasn't?
