excellent. Not the best movie ever but a fun Monster flick.

It was like a great remaking of a Godzilla classic.

I cheered for him and all.

The Mama Muto looked like the cloverfield monster IMO, and Kick arse is harder to kill than Wolverine.

Also, they hyped up Cranston, yet he got the Samuel L. treatment from Deep Blue Sea for sure.

Was he in the movie fifteen minutes?

Good popcorn flick. The west coast fricked.

Also, why did they need to do all that to get a nuke to SF when a sub carries 24 nukes?

Anyway still good.

Technically speaking, it's highly classified how many nukes those subs carry....it's 24 missiles, but probably well over a hundred nukes.

I liked the movie quite a bit as a monster flick.

The only things that stuck in my craw:

1) so why is Godzilla hunting the Muta's?

He kills them and walks away.

Did one kill his mother?

2) so why the hell would they send the nuke, knowing they attract them, near the path of the female? Seems like the mission was doomed to failure. Should have flown it in most of the way, approaching SF by boat.

3) going on about how badass the bomb was.....no way it doesn't knock the rescue chopper out of the air, or cause massive damage with only 5 minutes to get clear.

4) Speaking of.....no way they can do all the shite they do in only an hour after turning the key.

It was almost a campy Japanese ending.
Godzilla wrecked shite, and then just roared and took off to the water with a flood of cheers.

I liked it though for what it was. It entertained me on a Friday night.

(I knew they had 24 bays, but maybe can't be used analog?)

I had a comfortable 2 o clock showing. I enjoyed it but ya, running the train (ha) where they ran it made zero sense

I didn't particularly like Cranston's son either. His childish voice kind of annoys me

Some of the scenes were awe inspiring, and that it's what you pay for

This is most important, when I watch the original Godzilla movies as a kid I was on his side not matter how much he wrecked shop in the cities.

I thought it was awesome.

The special FX were really good. I usually get sick of the over the top CGI stuff but they did this one right.

The classic "roar" was awesome to hear again.

I was watching it, thinking of this Godzilla toy I had when I was, I'm guessing, around 5 or 6 years old. I thought he (Godzilla) was so cool. My mom and I would watch the old movies and I just got into them.

I remember watching the Godzilla Saturday morning cartoon and sort of using that as how this should go. Anyone who watched it knows what I mean.

SPOILERS

The atomic breath was awesome. I knew it was coming and I almost started clapping when he did it. That last scene with the female Muto where he uses his atomic breath...... awesome.

The final fight was really cool and I'm glad we (humans) did what we did in the old movies and even the cartoon. He's not our enemy. "Up from the depths, 30 stories high....."

I really liked it. I'll definitely get it when it comes out on DVD. They did a great job.

I'm wondering if they were natural enemies or something like that, in nature.

I saw it in 3D last might and loved it, think DAvid Strathairn and Ken Watanabe did the best acting ..... Cranston was good as usual for the short time he was alive. Im sure everybody went "oh shite" when they realized mama Muto was pregnant

Remember, the muto's hunted down all the nuke subs in the Pacific and ate them, and in the time frame one on east coast couldn't have made it. No matter how it was shipped the Muto's were going to go after it. Train possibly gave them the best shot at defending it?

I just want to know why there was even a need for the male muto. The female just dug a hole and laid her eggs.

My main question is how did that nuke not wreck everything on the west coast when it went off? How did it not knock that chopper out of the air? It wasn't under water, and was only 5 minutes out.

I'm not gonna watch this movie, just bc I'm not into this kind of stuff, but I'm curious about where Godzilla comes from? Is it an alien?

Having the male Muto led to one of the most "oh crap" scenes when you realize that the seismic disruptions were the mutos calling for each other

No I don't remember this. I remember one Muto walking from Nevada to San Fran, and another eating a russia sub on Hawaii, but they never mentioned the others.

I knew Godzilla was the good guy once they showed all the ships floating with him.

He is nature's way of restoring balance, when these things wake he goes after them.

An old Godzilla did die and that's what the MUTOs used to feed

It's classic Godzilla, he gives his victory roar and heads back to the ocean
