For me it was that Kevin Durant just wasn't built for the NBA and would be a bust, while Greg Oden would go on to have a great NBA career

Patrick Peterson wouldn't make it as a corner.

Cam Newton was going to be a bust.

Oh, and I almost forgot--Drew Brees would be an okay free agent signing for the Saints. A good game manager and nothing more.

Thought the same thing. Just thought his ceiling was Tashaun Prince due to being so skinny.

And I thought Oden would be a top NBA center for a decade. He probably would have if his body didn't completely fall apart.

I usually hold off on having strong opinions about the future, but I was absolutely convinced that Glen Dorsey was a lock for future All-Pro.

I thought Les Miles was a terrible football coach... turns out he's a beast and has LSU winning 10 games/yr

I also thought 100% that Michael Beasley would be better in the NBA than Derrick Rose. In fact, I lost a bet on that.

I was really sold on Beasley for some reason.

I was at Ole Miss during the Nutt years and they all were very clear about how they thought Nutt was an elite college coach. One of my better friends told me he was top 5 in college football and stuck with that argument for a long time.
