I like how, right out the gate, they establish that the energy effect that helped create the Flash also created other metahumans and only in Central City. Perfectly simple explanation for why he'll have so many baddies in his neighborhood.

Well, that pretty much established Weather Wizard as the first villain.

Eddie Thawn (Reverse-Flash) is already listed as a cast member.

The simple, yet complex focus on detail is why the team of Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, and Andrew Kreisberg are one of the best showrunner teams on TV right now.

Sweet. Even though comic spoilers aren't an issue in Arrow threads, I feel like I shouldn't discuss Thawn/RF any further so that's what I'll do.

Yes indeed. You know this one's going to be good before it even starts.

Wonder how quickly the show will go through the fairly large list of Flash Rogues:

Mirror Master
Pied Piper
Trickster
Captain Cold
The Top
Golden Glider
Head Wave
Captain Boomerang
Abra Kadabra
Weather Wizard - already shown
Reverse Flash - Eddie Thawn is a regular
Killer Frost - Caitlin Snow is a regular
Gorilla Grodd

This looks just like Alphas with the "meta humans" stuff and it can really work.

I'd stay away from anything Flashpoint related too.

The girl in the promo is Iris West...so does Wally make an appearance?

Oh, and if they do bring in the Rogues, I wonder if they will follow the "no killing" rule.

The odds are good. Iris is black on the show and in the comics Wally was just reintroduced into the new universe and he is now as well. Iris is still white in the comics though.

They've got so much ground to cover with Flash. Seasons and seasons worth of material. This is really going to be a solid show.

I am curious as to why DC/WB chose to put Flash on television instead of film but either way will work for me.

Yeah, I'm confused with whether or not WB is planning to share the same universe as Arrow/Flash.

I'm guessing the Justice League film following up SvsB will be Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, and one of the human Green Lanterns. After Superman vs Batman, they'll all have been introduced to the film audiences and 5 is a solid team.

With the Flash going to tv, they can't really use him in the film now.

Flash is a big property. Big as in you only cast an A/B lister for the role in film. An A/B lister who wouldn't be in a tv show.

So my question is, why would they have two different versions of Flash running at the same time?

I just don't see that happening.

I would love it if they somehow were able to merge the TV shows with the movies like Marvel is doing, but it all depends on property rights.
