That area is still kind of rough. My GF bought a double nearby as an investment while the hospitals are being built. There is still some Section 8 and we have witnessed several "police actions" across the street. We have never felt threatened or unsafe, but we spend most of our time at my place in Venetian Isles just to be away from all that.
