Cyclops Super Best Friends Club: Who to Cast?

So, with the Gambit news and the rumors that our favorite "one-eyed" hero is POSSIBLY in the mix for X-Men: Apocalypse, with the hope of a timeline reboot/shuffle in DoFP. Who do you cast?

I don't remember , but I thought he was manipulated or genetically altered and served with Mr Sinister in the Apocalypse storyline.

I want older because I want General Patton Cyclops that we have now but we have to be realistic here. A Cyclops film would be incredibly successful. Therefore we're looking at long series of sequels to properly relate his epic story.
