Taking a 3 yr old fishing in city park?

What's the bet way to get some small fish on the line for a child? Live worm under cork?

Yes. Bring some bread too! Break that up and throw in water. Wait a few till you see the fish feeding. Set the cork about 14" above the hook and you are good to go. Use the smallest hook you can find and a small piece of worm.

Worms are crickets. Don't forget to use the smallest cricket hook you can get and a small bobber so that the small brim can take it down. Good Luck

Ok thanks. Let him feed the ducks too. Ha. I figured the worm would be best choice, don't know if I would have dropped it 14" though. Thanks

Yeah i don't have any of this gear in my salt water tackle box. This is my gf's son, but he knows I fish and has been asking. Going to get him a rod and reel and some fishing stuff for his upcoming b day. Any recs on child pole, or just go with the Snoopy for a 3 yr old?

The OP came here for help going fishing with a young kid. What's the big deal? He didn't asked about getting married.

FWIW, I bought my daughter a Barbie pole. One 10 inch trout and the thing wouldn't work anymore. If you have any ideas towards ever taking him again or whatever, just get a Zebco combo pole.

Go find the bream or rios before you go fish...
Take 3 cans of dog food punch holes in in holes plural
Throw cans about 5 feet from bank
Do this a few days before you plan to fish
Rios and bream will follow what eats the bits of dog food
