The midfield trio of Modric, Rakitic, and Kovacic will be fantaštic.
Modric(1 goal 6 assist) and Rakitic(12 goals 10 assist) have been shredding La Liga this season. Rakitic is currently at Sevilla(future Europa league champs) but there are rumors of a summer move to Real Madrid.

Most probably havent heard of Kovacic, hes 19 and currently at Inter Milan. Inter picked him up last summer after they sold some kid Coutinhoto to Liverpool. He wasnt used in the beginning of the season but has recently been making a big impact. a couple of assist vs Lazio LINK LINK (sorry idk how to post gifs in page)

Perisic Hits cross bar 3 times

Rakitic Beautiful pad from today

Even more beautiful celebration

Mateo Kovacic (Internazionale)

I think he could be the young star player of the tournament if he makes the team. Ridiculously talented. Those passes against Lazio were so good. Here's his whole game vs Lazio. LINK

We probably won't see that trio feature much, unfortunately. They didn't play together much in qualifying and it is far too offensive for Niko Kovac's style.

It sure would be fun to see though.

Now that Modric has moved from Spurs I can be happy to see him do well and enjoy watching him. He's world class and one of my favorite players in the game to watch. Also neat to still see Eduardo hanging in there, what could have been with Arsenal....

Modric, Mandzukic, and Lovren are on the only ones on that squad worth a shite.

i forgot what article i read but it said Rakitic is the third best player in La Liga( i think it had to do with avg player rating or something). Third best means hes only behind CR7 and Messi. hes also one of a few with double digit goals and assist, not to mention hes the sole reason they beat real madrid this season and has helped his team get to the europa finals.

But if you only watch EPL you might see him at united next year if they decide to upgrade there midfield

Saw thread title, was going to post:

No Croatia, No care.

Then I opened thread...

Almost posted this this morning. Solid roster. Certainly out of the group stage and have a good chance to make a run.

Kovacic has super potential and Rakitic should have a big cup. He's playing for a payout. Mandžukic is just fun to watch, nets 2 versus Maxico just because.

I think Mandzo is suspended for the opener vs Brazil. Who do you think starts up top for them this game? Might that person be Jelavic?

This, they have to play patient through the midfield and not get too far behind. A 1-1 or 0-0 result would be a huge win. Brazil is going crush the other two.
