Some buddies and I are looking to go north this season for a good hunt. I know we're kinda late to plan this, but someone surely has to have some open dates. Looking for somewhere in OK, MO, or KS to slam some birds and have come to the almighty OB for some recommendations. Obviously we want to hunt multiple days and lodging would be preferred, but not a super huge deal if we can find something else near by.

What's your experience with them? Care to tell me any more?

If you're willing to fork up some dough, habitat flats in northern MO. These arse clowns on this other forum I'm on have gone the last 2 seasons and had good trips both times. All field hunting it looked like from their videos, but they whack mallards and snows. I call them arse clowns bc they are arrogant (if your strap isn't 5 greenheads and double sprig pintail gtfo attitude) and the 4-6 of them basically circle jerk in their video thread.
ETA: the arse clowns have been with sooner state outfitters as well and judging from pics had great hunt.

Yeah, we looked into Habitat earlier this year and they had an opening but we couldn't get our shite together, and I'm pretty sure they're all booked up now. I'll look into sooner state. Thanks
Sounds like the Outdoor Board
Yep

I've been with both once. Had great hunts and experiences both times.

Have heard nothing but awesome things out of this outfit. We usually go up to Stuttgart and hunt but it's so hit or miss that I am about to pull the plug on that expedition. However, we sat around the campfire on this last trip to Arkie and the owner of the place said he made a trip up to Habitat Flats over the split and said it was the finest run operation he had seen and the birds were thick. He gave it a double thumbs up and I respect his opinion.

Tornado Alley outfitters in Kansas. Been with them and had jam up hunts every single time. This hunt took all of 17 minutes.

MWP, I've read your stuff here and on 2cool. I'd happily pay your gas in exchange for a trip with you. I'm a member of club South of Bay City, BHC, but there is nothing like hunting from natural cover. That is one item I tried addressing with club manager, I hate hunting out of hamburger stands, but we got old men on our club that aren't interested in getting dirty. Some of best hunts I've had have been lying face down on a levee with camo cover over us. Big ducks are too smart. Let me know. Thanks.

What are these outfits like for novices? I can't hit the broad side of a barn some mornings . But I'm getting interested and it seems like a good idea to sink a little money into a guided hunt before I start buying my own gear. I'm used to taking a fishing charter when I'm not used to that type of fishing, how are hunts?

Cko out of Kansas is really good also check out Still water outfitters in Colorado the hunting was incredible we had the Rocky Mountains in the back ground. I do a hunt with Chad Belding from the fowl life every year and he puts on some incredible hunts. Tell him Lance sent you I promise you will have an incredible time at either place.
