Anyone have any experience with wireless charging cases & bases?
The S5 seems to be a very nice phone, but the flap you need to open to charge will be a PITA.
Any experience with Qi charging cases & the compatible bases (desktop & car)?
Do these really work? Do they charge just as fast?

TIA

I don't have any experience with those cases but I'd like to second that the charger flap is a PITA.

Samsung sells a battery cover and base that allows you to charge wireless.

Opening the flap that covers the charge isn't that bad, you get use to it very quickly.

you speak from experience with this particular phone?
I always automatically plug my phone in when I get in my car & sit at my desk.
Seems like the wireless charging would be the way to go if it really works.

I think that the flap will eventually wear out. Docking stations and such will just make it wear out faster IMO

I would imagine the flap is there to help with the water resistance of the s5. Id say it is a fair trade off to be able to have the phone get damp

Yes I have the galaxy s5, I can get the flap open easily even with the semi bulky case I have.

And yes it is for the waterproofing, every time you remove the charger there is a pop up that reminds you to close it for the waterproofing.

What I am not use to yet is the charger, it's has a micro USB attached to an even smaller one.
