A measure of Facebook likes. Once you get past the BR area, it's nothing but bandwagoners

They're missing the huge colony of Heat fans in the NOLA area.

I like the excerpt at the bottom about Seattle's fanhood after their team was taken from them. They still hate Portland.

I guess it's safe to say that Lakers have wayyy more bandwagoners than anyone else.

Also, they should've given the Spurs & Heat different colors.

Click on the interactive map, then zoom in and it breaks the map down by zip codes.

The furthest east I can find Pelicans in the Top 3 is the Biloxi area. 11% of NBA fans in zip code 39532 declare themselves Pelican fans (3rd).

The furthest west I can find Pelicans fans in the Top 3 is the zip code 70634 near the Texas State Line in the DeRidder area. I guess that is because of SE LA natives at Fort Polk.

This is pretty interesting. Facebook actually IS useful for something - data collection.

Extreme northern Metairie in zip code 70002 (near Causeway/the lake/West Esplanade)has the highest concentration of Pelicans fans at 56%. That's sad. French Quarter and downtown residents in the CBD checking in the mid 40's. That's pathetic.

It makes sense. FQ and CBD have a much higher of transplants than Metairie (which is mostly homegrown).

My household should be a spec of Pelican fanhood in NW Louisiana.

A few successful seasons will change things . . . to state the obvious.

This map should tell you should be more concerned about the Faker Nation than the Heat Nation.

Was not a real fan. Only faintly rooted for them. I never really cared that much about them.

Here's how I see it. People who claim to be Lakers fans are more likely to waste their time on Facebonk.

So much so that you don't root for the heat to lose when they play the Pels?
